Experience an evening of “Wine, Theater and Song” at the fall Home Dinner Theater, presented by Theater Bartlesville. This unique three-in-one event, complete with exquisite cuisine and high quality entertainment, has been scheduled for Thursday November 10, and Friday November 11 at the lovely home of Dr. Jeff and Lori Alert. Offered to the public as Bartlesville’s only Home Dinner Theater, this evening promises to be an exceptional experience in an elegant atmosphere. Each ticket includes wine, a full course gourmet meal, jazz music by Ann-Janette and the Evolution, followed by the delightful presentation of the short, classic comedy, Fourteen by Alice Gerstenberg, directed by Theater Bartlesville’s Artistic Director, Shelby Brammer. The Home Dinner Theater’s menu will consist of: Wine, Autumn Walnut Salad, Beef Tenderloin Medallion w/Mushrooms and Peppercorn Sauce, Herbed Potatoes, Asparagus Spears, Homemade Rolls and Chocolate Ganache Cake w/Fudge & Raspberry Topping.
Fourteen, a one act classic play by Alice Gerstenberg, was originally published in Drama Magazine in 1920. When Society Hostess Mrs. Pringle (played by Joanie Elmore) throws a Dinner Party assisted by her Butler, Dunham (played by Jason Elmore), she likes to think that she does it in style. Tonight's gathering is especially important because she has invited the most eligible bachelor in town and intends that he shall be impressed, not only by Mrs. Pringle's status as a hostess, but also by the charm and beauty of her only daughter, Elaine (played by Dana Gore). She assembles the cream of society to sit down at a table for fourteen for a sparkling soiree, but her plans are doomed from the start. Can she sustain her reputation? Will the gods smile favorably on Elaine's future?
"Ann-Janette & the Evolution” is a local jazz trio comprised of Ann-Janette Webster on piano/vocals, Donn McCallister on percussion/vocals and Mike Hough on upright bass. The three combine their musical talents to entertain audiences with a blend of jazz tunes, laid-back pop favorites and original songs. Home Dinner Theater-goers can expect to hear unique renditions of jazz standards made famous by artists like Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.
For a one-of- a- kind experience, in a lovely venue, with high spirited entertainment, memorable jazz music, and fabulous food, this live Home Dinner Theater is a must!
